India International Convention & Expo Centre (IICC)

India International Convention & Expo Centre (IICC) is a flagship project of Government of India with a vision to create a state-of-the-art, world class Exhibition and Convention Facility which will be on par with the best in the industry worldwide, in size and quality; offering an efficient and quality setting for international as well as national meetings, conferences, exhibitions and trade shows.
At an estimated cost of INR 25,703 crore, the project is being developed in Sector-25, Dwarka and is envisioned to be on a scale of a Central Business District (CBD) with about 3,03,000 Sq.m. of Exhibition space, 60,000 Sq.m. of convention area, 50,000 sq.m of Multipurpose Arena along with a supporting development of retail, commercial & office spaces, hospitality, and entertainment and lifestyle opportunities for end-users. The facility will be first of its kind in the country with Exhibition Halls having large column free spaces and ability to host large scale defence and aerospace exhibits. The Convention Centre complex will have an ability to hold 11,000 delegates with a world class plenary hall of capacity to hold 6000 pax. Further, a Multipurpose Arena, with flexible space and retractable roofing system to hold sports events, trade & fashion shows, and national events, will have a capacity of 20000 pax.

The global Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) market is a significant economic driver for a large number of nations. Currently India captures only a small percent of the share of Asia in terms of number of events. In the absence of world class exhibition and conference facilities, India has not benefited from the potential benefits of this development. The development of the IICC is expected to help increase this share and will enable New Delhi to compare favourably with Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore in the sphere of MICE Sector. Further, the proposed Exhibition Centre, Convention Centre and Multi Performance Arena developments are estimated to generate over five lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities.

An Industrial Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) has been proposed to be developed in Hisar, Haryana, adjacent to the Hisar Airport under Amritsar Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC). The total land area identified is 2,988 Acres for the IMC which has independent and direct access from NH 9 and NH 52.
The site is located adjacent to the proposed International Airport Hub (IAH) at Hisar along the intersection of NH 9 and NH 52. Hisar is strategically located between Rewari (Western Dedicated Freight Corridor station) and Ambala (Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor station) connected to both stations with feeder rail links. With the freight terminal proposed in the IAH area connecting to the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor, the IMC will benefit from multi-modal connectivity with air, road and rail initially through the Hisar city Junction in the first phase of its development (2027) and the rail terminal for freight in the airport by 2032 and final phase (2037).
Consultant has been appointed for the preparation of a detailed master plan and preliminary engineering activities for the proposed IMC site.

The project has been conceptualized as part of the Amritsar Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC) project which is aimed at development of Integrated Manufacturing clusters at certain identified key nodes along the alignment of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC). Raghunathpur Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (Jangal Sundari Karmnagari) has been proposed as a high-impact, market-driven node with investment-friendly facility regimes which aim at the development of manufacturing sectors within the Purulia region to act as catalysts to trigger socio-economic development of the region.

The project site consists of the following two land parcels:
• Parcel-I: It consists of West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC) acquired land earlier known as Raghunathpur Steel & Allied Industrial Park, comprising of 1749.07 acres of Land.
• Parcel-II: It consists of West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC) acquired land earlier known as Raghunathpur Steel & Allied Industrial Park-II, comprising of 733.99 acres of Land.
These two parcels are approximately 2 km apart from each other. The two Parcels are joined by SH 5.

Over 40% of the land of 2483 acres is proposed for industrial use focused on the manufacturing sector. Industrial Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) at Raghunathpur aims to generate and transfer the socio-economic benefit to the local and regional population in terms of offering immense employment opportunities, skill development, and livelihood improvement. The provision of adequate space for MSME units has been considered. Space has also been taken into consideration for the logistics sector.

Nine distinct Industrial categories have been proposed based on detailed analysis and stakeholder consultations and various other factors.

Consultant has been appointed for the preparation of a detailed master plan and preliminary engineering for the project.

Khuskheda Bhiwadi Neemrana Investment Region (KBNIR) was visualised as a key Investment Region (IR) in the state of Rajasthan under the influence region of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). KBNIR has manifold significance, for the Government of India, State Government of Rajasthan, National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) and Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Limited (RIICO), especially due to its strategic location at the Haryana and Rajasthan, off the national highway NH 48 and a terminal node of the Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror (SNB) Urban Complex being developed under Rajasthan state government.

The KBNIR Phase 1 project area of 558 hectares is spread across a greenfield site in Mandawar Tehsil, in Alwar district, Rajasthan and adjacent to three villages lying close to Delhi-Jaipur Expressway or NH 48. The KBNIR Phase 1 is part of the notified area of the SNB Urban complex under Neemrana Master Plan-2041. KBNIR is the northern-most DMIC node in the state of Rajasthan located within 50 km from the proposed Western Dedicated Freight Corridor alignment, about 107 km from Delhi and 147 km from Jaipur respectively. The district headquarters (Alwar) is located 70 km southwest of KBNIR. The site is very well connected to major urban centers in Delhi-NCR through NH 48 and railways and has proximity to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
