Visakhapatnam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the establishment of South Coast Railway Zone, with Visakhapatnam as its headquarters, on Jan 8. According to officials, the PM will also lay the foundation stone for NTPC's integrated green hydrogen hub coming up at Pudimadaka in Anakapalle district.
He will also virtually launch the Krishnapatnam industrial hub. Similarly, the foundation stone for the bulk drug park, to be set up in Nakkapalli at a cost of 1,876.66 crore on an area of 2,001.8 acres, will be laid virtually.
Chief secretary K Vijayanand reviewed the arrangements being made for the PM's visit with officials from relevant departments via video conference from the state secretariat on Friday.
He said the PM will hold a roadshow from Sampath Vinayaka temple to the meeting venue at Andhra University grounds.
